AAKARMATI – Video
Team Jhallal featuring Mahesh Deshpande, Abhijit Abde, Prajakt Deshmukh, Omkar Dhumal, Vinay Jinralkar, Ganesh Phuke, Prashant Sathe, Kalpesh Kamble, Mangesh Nare, Alhad Mahabal, and Ameya Ghatpande have designed and created a short promotional video named Aakarmati in collaboration with Aakar Pot Art. It’s about the abundance of Mother Earth and birth of an idol.
Earth. Mother Earth. Mother gives in abundance.
What decays in soil, only enriches it.
Whatever obscure but hopeful, takes root in soil.
Mother Earth shields you, she forgives you.
Formless by her own, but soil has a soul.
Dredge from her, still she will root for you.
She is beyond measure, still will be a shape for you.
Life and Death, all goes into it. It gets drenched, baked… hardens.
A song is born out of her self-afflictions.
Soil is handful. Soil is a lot.
Soil is the end. Soil is a good start.
Sculptures are born out of earth.
Sculptor gives his life-line away as he gives an idol a birth.
Sculptor works hard and then idol breaths first.
Earth is beyond measure, she embodies limitlessness.
Earth is holiness, as a “Mangalmurti” idol is made…
Life within the earth is celebrated for nine days.
On tenth day, it melds with water. Heaves a sigh again…
This sigh is why one breaths. Mother loves. Earth gives.
